Available Adults

Sometimes, through no fault of their own, we might have an adult looking for a home. Perhaps they are a dog that has "done all the things" and seems as though they would prefer to be the center of someone's universe, or perhaps it's a dog that has "come back home" and, after providing a soft landing, we are helping them find a new forever-home.

Benji is a 4 year old, neutered male that has come home to roost for a while. We are looking to find him a home of his very own. Benji is a terribly sweet, smart, active boy. His first home adored him and worked very hard, but as first-time parents with a toddler, managing Benji's anxiety about his little sister, a sweet growing baby, and full-time work it wasn't a good fit.

Benji is wonderful with all adults and teenagers but he is very nervous of toddlers and, to err on the side of caution, he should not go to a home with young children under the age of 12. He is Fanconi and PRA clear and otherwise healthy. He will have a full exam by our veterinarian before being placed.

We have not tested him with cats and dogs, for safety, are on a case by case basis. We prefer homes in WA or OR but don't wish to rule out a great home based solely on location.
